Earlier I never heard the name of Kalchatti, but when Padma introduced it to me I was so mesmerized to see the traditional way of cooking that I bought it for myself too and then the journey started of cooking in Kalchatti. Padma has explained each and every point very clearly with instructions, also she is always available to answer any queries anytime. Cooking is very fast, my half of the cooking is done in Kalchatti. cleaning is so easy that I do not feel like to use my other cookware now. Thank you Padma for such a wonderful product. It is a great product. Initial heating is little late but then things get cooked very fast. Taste also is awesome. Curd sets nice and thick.

Addition of soapstone to our kitchen was one of the best things. It makes the food taste more authentic. Padma is very patient in answering all the questions. I was little skeptical about cleaning it after cooking, but turns out it's much easier than any other kitchen utensil. I also bought a dosa tawa, though it took little longer to prime it, worth the effort. Dosas come out authentic!!

Here you will find all the soapstone cookware such as Kal chatti, dosa kallu, curd pot, pickle jars. Update as of 04/04/2021 (Reducing my stars for the soapstone cookware rather) 1. The Dosa stone cracked within a few weeks of use, despite the seasoning and low flame usage. 2. This may be due to the nature of the stone and there is no quality control as this is just straight from artisans ans usage is on trial and error basis. You can give this a try and invest money on the soapstone ware if you are not very price conscious and are willing to invest time on traditional cooking fare. I can vouch for the dosas, they do indeed come out well.

I ordered from Soapstone Cookware to surprise my mom on hir birthday! The entire process was really smooth with absolutely no hassle whatsoever. I got two dishes, both of them were in perfect condition and top quality. They were seasoned very well and also packed perfectly to prevent any damage during transport. Finally got my hands on Kalchatti. I remember seeing them in my maternal grandparents’ house. But never knew how amazing it was until I started using one fue myself. I’m a huge fan of traditional cookware. My entire range of cookware is cast iron, earthenware and now, kalchattis. While I get my cast irons from US (lodge cast irons) only because I have not found someone who does a good job locally. I otherwise prefer getting traditional cookware locally and it’s truly by luck that I stumbled upon their insta page. Unbelievably good owner. She designs the cookware herself and sometimes even reduces our work by 90 percent by seasoning it herself. That was a huge help! She was thorough, detailed and quick to respond. If you guys ever have a doubt if it’s worth it, read up the benefits and start with their smallest piece. Trust me, you’ll be amazed how it can cook healthier, tastier food all the while by being energy efficient.

I have spent more than a hour to choose and almost all the items I have checked. She did not raised any concern and nicely answered to all my questions.  All the items are seasoned. Found good quality material. However let me use and I will confirm. Price is fixed.

Excellent Products from Soapstone Cookware! This is the collection i have from Padma and use it very regularly. They are really good and very healthy especially the Dosa on the soapstone tawa comes out very thin and very crispy. Padma who owns is very passionate and she explains the usage and maintenance of these vessels very patiently. For the people who are using organic products i would recommed them to use the Soapstone and this is a excellent place to start your new collection.

Had a very nice experience buying kalchatti from soapstone cookware. Padma who manages the enter prise truly loves what she does and is very kind enough to give good tips if you are a novice user of kalchattis.
