Pots with Lids – Everyday Sizes

This treated soapstone pot includes a fitted stone lid to help retain moisture while preparing rice, curries, gravies and slow-cooked dishes.

Each pot and lid is hand-carved, so natural marks and slight variation in colour, fit, dimensions and weight are expected.

1. Before washing, fill with water, boil on a low flame, allow it to cool and repeat four times.
2. For the first ten uses, cook rice, millet or dal on low flame.
3. For the first month, prefer food cooked with water and use low or medium heat.

• Do not heat the vessel empty; begin on low heat and increase gradually.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes, direct high flame, deep frying and tempering in the vessel.
• Cool naturally before washing and avoid harsh abrasives.
